Battery production

The rapid growth of the battery industry, driven by the development of electric mobility and energy storage systems, is imposing increasingly stringent requirements on the components used in automation systems. In this context, the selection of materials plays a fundamental role in helping to reduce the risk of contamination in manufacturing processes.

To date, there are no international standards that unambiguously define the design requirements for pneumatic components intended for battery production. However, it has become established industry practice to limit the use of materials containing copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn), as the release of these elements could compromise both the quality of the final product and the reliability of the manufacturing process.

To meet these requirements, Metal Work has developed a dedicated range of pneumatic components designed with carefully selected materials and specific surface treatments, with the aim of minimizing the presence of copper and zinc in parts exposed to the production environment. The range has been conceived to provide high reliability, corrosion resistance, and long service life, while ensuring the performance required by modern battery manufacturing lines.

The Battery Series solutions therefore represent a concrete response to the needs of a continuously evolving industry, where innovation, process quality, and careful material selection are key factors for manufacturing success.
